Extended spindles are the reason these wall top assemblies exist. Where a wall has been built out, sheeted thicker, or re-tiled over the top, a standard assembly no longer reaches the finished face and the handles end up buried. These use 1/4 turn ceramic disc spindles and a lead free composition, with a seven-year warranty. Measure from the existing valve body out to the finished tile face before ordering, because the extra length only helps if it matches what the wall has actually gained. Worth checking the flange coverage at the same time.
