Rough-in is where a wall basin mixer is won or lost, and this is the part that goes in early: a 304 stainless steel body with a 35mm cartridge, installed and tested well before the wall is closed. The measurement that matters is depth from the finished tile face, allowing for adhesive and tile thickness rather than working off the sheeting. Too shallow or too deep and the trim will never sit down cleanly. Twenty-year warranty.
