Concrete gives a basin weight and a surface that varies slightly piece to piece, and that variation is much of the appeal here. The Zale is a 500mm above-counter bowl in dark grey concrete with a natural colour finish, carrying an anti-scratch coating, and a matching plug cover is available if you want the waste to disappear into the surface. There is no tap hole, so tapware has to come off the wall or stand separately on the benchtop — settle that before the vanity is fabricated. Seven-year warranty.
